This is not a thinspo blog. I want everything on here to be healthy, not abusive to your body. It's a blog for changing your life... for the better!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Smoothie
Ingredients:
Preferred milk, 1 cup
1 scoop of vanilla protein or whey protein powder (I use RightSize Skinni Vanilli)
Pineapple slices (I used canned Dole Pineapples, but fresh pineapple is the best)
1 Tbsp of plain nonfat greek yogurt
3 cubes of ice
Blend ingredients together and enjoy as a meal. Add Light Whipped Topping if desired.

I just gotta finally buy coconut oil. But where in my area?

It depends on where you live. Most regular grocery stores carry it, but I don’t doubt they have it at beauty stores, if you want to use it for that. They also have Coconut oil capsules, which can be found at convenience stores, grocery stores, and vitamin stores.

1 medium Fuji apple, cored and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
12 to 15 pieces Red Hots Cinnamon Flavored Candy
1/2 sheet (2 crackers) low-fat cinnamon graham crackers
2 tablespoons fat-free whipped topping (from an aerosol canister), or more for optional topping
Dash cinnamon
Directions

Put apple cubes in a microwavable cup or mug. Top with Red Hots. Cover and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well. Re-cover and microwave for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, until apple cubes are soft.
Meanwhile, place graham crackers in a plastic bag and thoroughly crush through the bag; set aside.
Once cup or mug is cool enough to handle, mix contents well. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
Top with most of the crushed graham crackers followed by the whipped topping. Add an extra serving of whipped topping, if you like.
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and remaining crushed grahams. Voila!

This is a list of superfoods that not only help with weight reduction, but beauty as well.

  • Coconut Oil:
    Metabolizes food instead of storing it as fat. Using coconut oil instead of regular oil in cooking helps. Also, applying oil directly to problem areas on skin (acne, eczema, skin infections) won’t clog your pores, but will leave your skin feeling fresh and clean.

Fiber slows down digestion, which can prevent you from feeling hunger for longer if you had gone for, say, iceburg lettuce, instead of baby spinach in your salad. Jalapeno Cheeseburgers!
Last night I had these really tasty jalapeno burgers and I wanted to share the recipe because it was so delicious.
What you’ll need:
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp of relish
1 tbsp of olive oil mayonnaise
salt and pepper
1 lb of ground sirloin (or veggie substitute)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup of caramelized onions1 red onion, sliced and sauteed in olive oil (do this before you cook your burgers and set to the side in a bowl)

1/4 cup of sliced jalapenos
lettuce
4 whole-grain fiber english muffins
320 Calories
Directions:
Combine your ketchup, relish, and mayo in a bowl (season with salt and pepper to taste) and set to the side or in the fridge if you prefer cold sauce
Preheat (on med-high to high) your preferred method of cooking burgers (I used a grill pan). While that is preheating, season your meat to taste (I use a dash salt and pepper and a maple seasoning mix for meat). Gently form meat into four patties.
Once pan is hot, place your patties in. Cook on the first side for about 5 minutes (or until the one side is brown and nicely crusted), flip and immediately place your cheese on each patty. Cook until other side is brown and nicely crusted, making sure your meat is done to your liking. Remove burgers once done.
Toast your english muffins.
Slather your muffins in spread, then top with lettuce, burger, onions, and jalapenos. Place muffin top on burger. Enjoy.
